Now that we are meeting and talking about how we lived the moments of the earthquake, it is important to reflect on how we can be more prepared against this type of phenomenon and against others such as hurricanes.
Here in the mountains we must make a count of the areas that are at risk and those that are safer, build in stable areas, maintain a permanent monitoring of services such as water, roads. communications, food supply, shelters and above all attentive to the most vulnerable, such as girls, boys, women and grandparents.
That is why it is good that we work in the construction of a risk map.
Strengthening solidarity among the community is something extremely valuable to face those moments. I remember in the earthquake of 1985, we were affected in the houses, however, at that time there was no support, the government did nothing, then we had to organize among countrymen, make adobe bricks and build the houses again.
Esta reuniòn es importante para prepararnos frente a los fenomenos naturales, pues como podemos ver estos cada vez son más frecuentes. Ya ven en 2017 el terremoto destruyo casas y afecto el servicio de abasto de agua, en el 2018 las lluvias nos dejaron incomunicados y sin abasto de alimentos, pues la carretera se destruyo.
