The Wheelchair Fund 2020 is our second project on GlobalGiving. While Motivation will start donating wheelchairs through this project next year, I am happy to share with you the results of our first GlobalGiving campaign and to invite you to join Motivation Romania on December 3rd to boost our 2020 project through donations that will hopefully be matched by GlobalGiving through their GivingTuesday appeal on December 3rd.
In 2019, Motivation donated 560 wheelchairs to date, including 99 funded by our friends from the US and globally, through the 2019 GlobalGiving campaign.
Each story we share with you illustrates the different ways appropriate wheelchairs can change lives for the better. This time, the wheelchair received by Costel, 33, started a process of learning that will continue for a while. Just five months after falling from a cart and becoming a wheelchair user, Motivation gave Costel an appropriate wheelchair and showed him how to use it to be more independent. Now he is proud that he can wait for his wife with a good coffee when she brings the children back from school. He also knows he still needs to practise his wheelchair skills, to be able to help his wife and raise his kids. Costel`s journey continues, but is now filled with hope.

Dear friend of Motivation Romania,
I hope my message finds you well. I am writing to share with you updates on Motivation Romania Wheelchair Fund 2020, which you have generously funded through your donation on Global Giving.
So far this year, through the december 2019 campaign on Global Giving, Motivation donated 218 wheelchairs through the Wheelchair Fund, including five wheelchairs funded through your donations on Global Giving.
In the previous report we presented you the story of Sorana, a girl who received an appropriate wheelchair via the Wheelchair Fund in January 2019. Today, we tell a different story, one about how you can regain your independence of movement no matter your age. I invite you to read here the story of 75 years old Ms. Silvia.
With this second report on our 2018 campaign, I would also like to invite you to drop us a line about why you donate to Motivation`s Wheelchair Fund on Global Giving. I would love to learn about your story and let our recipients know that they have your support in their journey towards independent living in a wheelchair.
