Your support of this project enables us to buy items for Global Links New Baby Bags, which encourage mothers to seek prenatal care and deliver their babies in the safe, clean environment of a helath center. The medical personnel who work in maternity centers tell us that the bags save lives by providing an incentive to seek care, and the new families are glad to have them as well. As one new mother in Cuba wrote, “On my behalf, as well as all the mothers that were at the hospital giving birth and received your bags, I send you a kiss and a hug to thank you with all my heart.” The bags themselves are useful, and the contents - clothing, blankets, and other costly items - provide real assistance to the family.
