Mother & Baby Support Kit in Gaza

Gaza's healthcare and sanitation systems have collapsed, leaving mothers and newborns in catastrophic conditions. With more than one million people displaced and often lacking access to clean water and basic hygiene, infants face a high risk of skin infections and disease due to the absence of diapers, clean clothing, and soap, while mothers themselves lack essential sanitary products. In this environment, hygiene is not simply a matter of comfort but a matter of survival.

To address this urgent need, YEÇED distributes comprehensive Mother & Baby Support Kits containing diapers, wipes, towels, shampoo, soap, and clothing to maintain infant hygiene, along with sanitary pads for mothers. By sourcing and delivering these items directly to displaced camps and shelters, the project bridges the gap between unavailable local supplies and the urgent needs of families, helping prevent the spread of illness and easing the burden on struggling parents. Beyond immediate relief, this support helps reduce infant mortality and morbidity linked to poor sanitation, empowers women to better care for themselves and their babies, and helps protect a generation of children from chronic health issues caused by early-life infections, fostering resilience and hope amid one of the world's most severe humanitarian crises.
