Montessori public schools in Puerto Rico look forward to the arrival of a new semester. A new semester in which we are closer to normality and to having children and young people in their learning environments.
A school community that celebrates in a big way and sees this beginning with hope is the Alejandro Tapia y Rivera Montessori School in Lajas, as the school reopened after 3 months closed.
Another cause for celebration is that the Juana Colón Montessori High School in Comerío has its Family House. There are already 13 schools that receive services of: psychological therapies, alternative therapies such as yoga, music therapy and art therapy. Also recreational activities, support groups and workshops, all free of charge.
The Public Montessori project in Puerto Rico seeks to continue growing, and we have seen interest in the people to join the project. In the months of November and December, the Instituto Nueva Escuela oriented 148 teachers interested in being a Montessori guide.
There are reasons to celebrate, so we invite you to do so. Your donations make it possible for Puerto Rico to have Montessori public schools, an accessible education of excellence. Thank you for being part of this growth!
