By David Jesse | Friend of the Farm
So first the winter was long, then we get more rain than anyone can remember in the last 50 years. The tomatoes and potatoes and other veggies are on track, but it sure makes for a muddy workspace.
Speaking of the farm, last month restarted bicycle delivery of fresh food around the city, harder to find riders than last year, guess people are getting back to normal jobs.
We finally got the roof on and the outside of the building looking decent, now we're finishing up the tiles and lighting and electrical system. Walk in cold and dry storage should be done this week, commercial dishwasher might be. Work tables and shelves and about half the appliances have been ordered.
This weekend we're hosting some food entrepreneurs for a soft opening, because it's been two years since the idea of Katalyst Kitchens. We're aiming for late August or early September to have the formal grand opening.
Thank you to all supporters, we're working hard to give you the most bang for the buck.
