Provide wheelchairs to Disabled People in Uganda

Dear friends, donors and well-wishers,

Thank you so much for your continued support toward our project “Give 50 Wheelchairs to Disabled People in Kamuli.” Thank you for standing with us in our mission to provide mobility and dignity to people with disabilities in Kamuli. Through your kindness, we have continued to spread hope and strengthen our community.

At this stage, we would like to share an important update.

Although we are deeply grateful for the contributions received so far, we have not yet reached even half of the total funds needed to complete this project. Many vulnerable children, elders and families are still waiting for wheelchairs and mobility support that will transform their daily lives.

As a community-based team working closely with those in need, we are continuing to spread the word, share the project with our networks and mobilize support from our giving team. However, we cannot do it alone — we still need your help.

Expanding Our Strategy Going Forward.

To ensure we reach our goal, we are now strengthening and expanding our approach:

• Increasing community outreach: Our team is actively visiting villages, documenting stories and showing donors the real people who urgently need support.

• Building stronger partnerships: We are engaging churches and individual partners to help us share this message widely.

• Mobilizing our giving team: Our supporters and volunteers are spreading the project link in their networks, social groups and events to increase visibility.

• Using social media creatively: We are preparing short videos, impact stories and photos to help donors truly understand the need and share the project easily.

• Encouraging small, consistent giving: Even $5, $10, or $20 makes a real difference. Many small gifts can collectively help us reach the remaining funds.

Dear Supporters, Friends and Partners,

We extend our warm greetings and deep appreciation for your continued interest in and support of our project titled "Give 50 Wheelchairs to Disabled People in Kamuli." This initiative was designed with the vision of restoring dignity, mobility and independence to 50 individuals with disabilities across rural communities in Kamuli District, Uganda.

Current Progress

As of now, the project is in the fundraising phase. While we have not yet raised the necessary funds to begin full implementation, we remain committed to the mission and continue to raise awareness about the critical need for mobility support in our community.

Here are some of the steps we have taken so far:

• Community Mobilization: We have identified and verified the initial list of beneficiaries who are in dire need of wheelchairs. These individuals include children, youth and elderly people living with physical disabilities and without any assistive devices.

• Local Partnerships: We have begun discussions with local health centers, community leaders and disability advocacy groups to strengthen collaboration and ensure that implementation will be smooth and inclusive once funds are available.

• Vendor Research: Aim Born Champions Children Africa (ABCCA) is currently engaging with local and regional wheelchair suppliers to identify durable and affordable options that are suitable for our rural environment.

• Awareness and Fundraising Efforts: We continue to share this project on social media among other options in hopes of attracting compassionate donors who can help us meet our goal.

Challenges

The main challenge we face is the lack of sufficient funds to begin procurement and distribution of the wheelchairs. We want to ensure quality and sustainability in what we provide to our beneficiaries.

Next Steps

• Intensify fundraising campaigns both locally and internationally.

• Engage community-based volunteers and ambassadors to promote the cause.

• Apply for grants and reach out to organizations that support disability inclusion.

• Once 30% of the funds are raised, we plan to start with a pilot phase of delivering wheelchairs to the most vulnerable beneficiaries while continuing to raise funds for the full target.
