Mobile School for Indigenous children in Chiapas

Your commitment to defending the rights of working children has borne fruit in the more than 265 children and adolescents who have participated this quarter in the educational skills training activities offered by Melel.

On May 1st, in commemoration of International Workers' Day, more than 60 children and adolescents took to the streets of San Cristóbal to make their work visible and amplify their voices in the pursuit of a less unequal city and to reduce the stigma surrounding working children. Above all, they demanded their right to health and education—a contextualized education, in their own language, and respecting their context and knowledge.
