Between October and December 2025, the project Mobile Primary Medical Care in Eastern Ukraine used donations totaling 170.42 USD to purchase essential medical consumables for two mobile clinics operating in frontline communities in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
These supplies were necessary for collecting biological samples from patients during medical consultations conducted by doctors in the mobile clinics. The purchased materials included items such as blood collection needles, vacuum blood tubes, syringes, tourniquets, alcohol swabs, sterile gloves, urine containers, and sample labeling materials.
During consultations, physicians order laboratory diagnostics and nurses collect the required samples directly from patients in the field. The samples are then placed in specially secured containers and transported to Kyiv, where laboratory tests are performed in the project’s stationary laboratory. After analysis, the laboratory results are transmitted electronically back to the mobile clinic doctors. Physicians subsequently communicate the results to patients and determine appropriate treatment when necessary.
The laboratory diagnostics include a wide range of tests such as complete blood cell count, general urine analysis, liver enzyme tests (ALT, AST), C-reactive protein, glucose, cholesterol profile, creatinine, iron parameters, HbA1c, D-dimer, troponin, as well as rapid tests for COVID-19, influenza, HIV/hepatitis, syphilis, pregnancy, and streptococcal infections.
As a result, the donation directly contributed to faster diagnosis and more adequate treatment for residents living close to the frontline, where medical services are either unavailable or severely limited.
