50th Anniversary Campaign - Mobile Health Program

We are thankful for the generosity that our supporters have given Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center & Foundation. With only a month left until the end of our campaign, we are thrilled with the progress we have made towards reaching our 50^th anniversary goal. Our end-of-year giving campaign was especially successful and contributed to over $78,000 in individual donations. To date, we have over $1.1 million raised for our Mobile Health Program—putting us close to reaching our $1.5 million goal.

Virginia Garcia’s Mobile Health Program brings essential medical and dental care to patients where they live, work, and gather. As the program expands, our team of dedicated staff have stayed busy hosting events for the community in both Washington and Yamhill counties, offering services such as vaccine and dental visits, and community fairs in partnership with other local organizations. We are excited to be offering these events to the community and have recently added them to a dedicated event calendar on our website—making it easier for the individuals and families to plan for their health care needs and visits. These services are increasingly vital, especially in our more rural communities where access to health services can be limited.

We are appreciative of all your support and look forward to the expansion of the Mobile Health Program services for the community.

Virginia Garcia recently achieved a huge accomplishment during our annual ¡Prospera! fundraising event. Thanks to our supporters, we raised over $475,000—bringing us closer to our $1.5 million goal towards our Mobile Health Program. We are now halfway to our goal! We currently have about $3,000 of a matching gift remaining, and we kindly encourage you to donate to help us reach our matching goal.

Our Mobile Health Program helps deliver essential medical and dental care to patients where they live, work, and gather. As part of this program, in partnership with Washington County Supportive Housing Services and Greater Good Northwest, our Low-Acuity Transitional Services program (LATS) helps people who are experiencing houselessness recover in a safe and supportive environment after being discharged from the hospital or emergency room by providing a short-term and safe place for healing. Virginia Garcia provides medical oversight, transition of care services, and care coordination. For patients like Frank and Elizabeth, who faced uncertainty after Frank’s leg amputation shortly after moving to Oregon, these services are essential. Through LATS, they received care, support, and connections to services that made all the difference. We take care beyond our walls into the community, and our Mobile Health Program reaches patients where they need us most.
