We are excited to share that our first Mobile Digital Classroom is now up and running in the Indigenous community of Xochitla, Veracruz.
The computer lab has been fully equipped, and children have already begun attending their digital literacy classes. For many of these students, this is their first opportunity to regularly use a computer and develop the digital skills that are increasingly essential for education and future employment.
This milestone represents months of collaboration with our partners, donors, local authorities, and the community, who worked together to transform an empty classroom into a functional digital learning space.
Our next step is to launch the adult education component of the program, which will provide digital literacy training to parents and other community members, allowing the classroom to benefit multiple generations and maximize its impact.
While the classroom infrastructure and equipment are now in place, we are actively raising the operational funding needed to sustain the program. These resources will allow us to continue providing instructors, educational materials, technical support, transportation, and ongoing activities that keep the classroom running and ensure that children, teachers, and adults can fully benefit from the program.
We are deeply grateful to our GlobalGiving supporters for helping make this milestone possible. Your continued support is allowing us to bring meaningful digital education to Indigenous communities where these opportunities have long been out of reach.
