We aim to provide Mobile Computer Labs which will teach basic computer theory and practical to pupils in public primary schools in Tanzania from Standards 4 -7 and train the teachers to be able to teach the ICT subject well.
Why Mobile Computer Lab? there is no equality in IT education between children learning in public primary schools and children learning in private schools. Public primary schools do not have special rooms/labs for the computer lessons. There are no computers in public primary schools they use books and picture to learn ICT subject. Teachers do not have sufficient teaching skills on the basic computer lessons. Lack of accountability around ICT education in public schools.
Mobile Computer Lab for Public Primary School will teach students and their teachers on basic practical Computer training. This lab will provide practical ICT training to pupils and also do ToT course to teachers so they can be able to teach ICT practically. We aim at breaking the gap between private and public school on ICT subject and give a wake up call to the government to improve & put ICT facilities in public schools.Moving from 1 school to another will help to impact more than 3500 pupil
Empowered pupils and teachers capable of using and apply ICT skills (theory and practical) technology to better there life skills performances and for there future careers. And For every Tanzanian pupil studding public primary school to have access to a standard of ICT education which enables them to be competitive locally and internationally in this 21 century also to increase government urgency in equipping public primary schools in ICT facilities for pupils and teachers.
