Thousands of people in rural Ghana cannot access basic healthcare because clinics are distant or unavailable, under-resourced, or unaffordable. Through mobile health outreaches, Hereafter Ghana brings doctors, nurses, screening services, medicines, and health education to the doorsteps of underserved communities. This project provides free screening, treatment, medications, referrals, and preventive health services to over 50,000 vulnerable people, helping detect illnesses early and save lives.
Thousands of people in rural and underserved communities in Northern Ghana lack access to basic healthcare. Many live far from health facilities and cannot afford transportation, consultations, tests, or medicines. As a result, conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hepatitis, malaria, breast cancer, and pregnancy-related complications often go undetected until they become life-threatening. Women, children, older adults, and low-income families are most affected.
This project will deploy mobile health teams to bring free healthcare directly to underserved communities. Doctors, nurses, and volunteers will provide health education, screening, diagnosis, treatment, referrals, and essential medicines. The project will focus on preventing and detecting illnesses early, reducing barriers to care, and ensuring that over 50,000 vulnerable people receive lifesaving health services close to home.
Over time, this project will improve access to healthcare for more than 50,000 people across 100 underserved communities in Northern Ghana. Early detection and treatment will reduce preventable illnesses, complications, and deaths from common diseases. Increased health awareness will encourage healthier lifestyles and timely care-seeking. The project will help build healthier communities where vulnerable families can live more productive and healthier lives.
