TSU's GlobeMed Fall 2014 Update

By Keilah Sullivan | Global Giving Correspondent

This semester, Truman’s chapter of GlobeMed launched multiple successful fundraising campaigns, including a game night, bar crawl, Oktoberfest bake sale, and global giving campaign. For their part, the new members conducted a “chicken bowl” sale (chicken bowls being a popular menu item in the Truman campus cafeterias). Finally, on December 6, GlobeMed will host a benefit dinner and art auction. Finally, GROW team applications have been distributed in preparation for a trip next year.

These efforts — in addition to small business sales around campus — have raised over $1,500, all of which goes directly to Maison de Naissance, ensuring that the birthing clinic can continue to aid those in need. As always, we would like to extend our deepest thanks to those who have donated their time, talent, or money to TSU’s chapter of GlobeMed. Maison de Naissance provides vital services for the people of Haiti. Your continued support plays a crucial role in facilitating this care, so sincerest thanks to everyone for your generous contributions. Please keep Maison de Naissance in mind this holiday season.
