WE DID IT!! Thanks so much to all of our donors who helped us reach our Open Challenge Goal! Because of you we are that much closer to reaching our $12,000 goal for the semester. With the money we have raised so far, over 100 mothers and babies have been vaccinated. This means diseases like diphtheria, tetanus, polio, German measles, and rubella have been prevented in the rural community of Torbeck, Haiti.
We have a few more months in the school year left but we are working hard to reach our goal. Last semester in addition to our Open Challenge, we held five different campaigns to raise additional funds. This semester, we have five more campaigns planned! We also have a Grass Roots On-site Work (GROW) Internship planned with five of our members to go and visit Maison de Naissance and the mothers and babies within the community.
Overall, your donations assist Maison de Naissance in preventing diseases within their area and helping those within their community live healthy, productive lives. All of this together helps to empower the movement for global health equity.
We wanted to end this report by bringing a little bit of Haiti and Maison de Naissance to YOU our donors! We have some pictures from last year’s GROW Internship. We hope you enjoy!
