Dear donors,
This summer, the impact of your support and donations to Mirai no Mori were on full display!
Summer Camp 2026
This August, across three five-day sessions in Miyagi, we welcomed 95 youth from 9 care homes. Knights In White Lycra was among the sponsors who made it possible.
Our aim at camp is to give children who grow up in care homes the chance to build agency and confidence. Immersed in the outdoors, in an environment that empowers them, campers make real choices, take on responsibility and discover what they are capable of. They tackled an 8km stream hike, cooked a full dinner together, challenged their team work at the Mirai no Mori Olympics and learned about different cultures around the globe during World Tour.
Celebrating Together
On the evening of September 2nd, riders, sponsors and their networks gathered for the KIWL post-ride party to celebrate the completion of the 500km ride back in May. We enjoyed a screening of the ride video, which followed the riders across multiple prefectures in Japan. It was a chance to thank everyone in person and see what the ride makes possible.
Thanks to donors like you around the world, we are reaching our yearly goals, continuously providing learning opportunities to marginalized children in Japan.
We look forward to an impactful autumn season with you.
With gratitude,
Mirai no Mori
