March 2026 Highlights
March was a season of transition and new beginnings in Japan, as many children and families prepared for graduations, new schools, and life changes.
For families navigating illness, these transitions can bring both hope and uncertainty. During this time, Minlemo focused on creating spaces where children and families could feel supported, connected, and at ease.
Through both online and in-person activities, we continued to offer opportunities for connection, ensuring that no one feels alone during these important life moments.
Support Overview
Care package support: 140 individuals
Connection & community support: 81 individuals
(Online: 45, In-person: 36)
Regions Reached
Support was delivered to families in 22 prefectures across Japan:
Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Toyama, Yamanashi, Gifu, Shizuoka, Aichi, Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo, Nara, Okayama, Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Okinawa
Supporting Families Through Change
March is a time when many children take important steps forward in their lives.
For children undergoing treatment or recovering from illness, these milestones may look different from their peers. Through Minlemo’s programs, children and families were able to share their experiences, celebrate small steps, and support one another in a gentle and understanding environment.
Even simple moments of connection — a conversation, a shared activity, or receiving a care package — can bring comfort and reassurance during times of change.
Looking Ahead
As we move into a new fiscal and school year in Japan, Minlemo will continue to provide both care package support and opportunities for connection.
We remain committed to building a community where children and families can feel safe, understood, and connected — regardless of their situation or location.
We will also continue exploring ways to expand our online community, creating opportunities for connection that reach beyond regional and national boundaries.
Minlemo’s Anniversary & Birthday Donation Campaign
April 15 marks the anniversary of Minlemo becoming an incorporated organization.
To celebrate this milestone, we are currently running a “Birthday Donation Campaign” throughout April.
In this campaign, each donation of 500 yen is symbolized as one “lemon,” representing a small but meaningful act of support that helps sustain our activities.
While donations are primarily accepted through our Japanese platform, Syncable, we warmly welcome support from the GlobalGiving community as well.
Every contribution — no matter where it comes from — helps us continue delivering care, connection, and a sense of belonging to children and families facing serious illness.
Thank You
To everyone supporting Minlemo — thank you for your continued kindness and encouragement.
Your support helps create moments of connection and comfort for children and families facing serious illness. Together, we are building a community where no one feels alone.
