Challenge

Several towns in Mindanao have been affected by earthquake resulting to loss of lives, properties and livelihoods especially among vulnerable, resource-poor farmers, fishermen and artisans. Recovery will be slow as government and other helpers struggle with budgets and low finances. There is a need to provide short and long-term support for recovery of affected communities.

Solution

We will provide basic essentials to our volunteers on the ground who will do the assessment and assist in recovery planning with community leaders. After this, we will provide short and long-term recovery by means of the provision of emergency supplies and revival of lost livelihoods.

Long-Term Impact

Earthquakes are events that destroys lives and livelihoods and there is a need to launch short-term support and long-term recovery among affected communities. In doing this we collaborate in community-building and development.
