With a healthy body comes a happy mind. With this conviction, our organization is currently working for 41 Indian villages in the foothills of the Himalayas. We transform destitute rural youth by providing them not only quality education but also medical care & nutrition - all for free. In our journey of 15 years, we have impacted over 700 children and their economically disadvantaged families. Your contribution to our cause would be deeply appreciated.
Each of our 575 children hails from a poor home with unsanitary living conditions. We get them vaccinated for various diseases common in the area. Deworming, eye tests, ENT checks and subsequent corrective measures are undertaken. Since anemia is widespread, iron tablets and sanitary napkins are provided to the girls. Oral hygiene is a priority.
Although we provide blanket health care facilities to all children under our care, our organization has no streams of income other than valued donors like you. Your contribution would add fuel to our efforts and together, we would be able to plant those smiles on our children's faces! :)
Our focus is the hill community in the Lower Himalayas. Our project would provide essential health care to the children along with academic learning. Preparing them for a life out of poverty, they will be change agents of the community and transform this region into an economic strength of the country. Having understood the challenges of the have-nots, they will grow confident and healthy to challenge status quo and follow the motto they are being nurtured with - Life is for Giving.
