Nairobi schoolchildren visit our workshop
Campaign Success
Thanks to your donations and support, not only did we reach our crowdfunding target, we SURPASSED it with over $25,000 donated! We'll be using the additional funds to explore other 3D printable STEM teaching aides that could support learning and we plan to test these with the schools that will be involved in the microscope trial. We start the rollout to schools during the first week in July and we'll keep you updated on the schools we are working with this year, and can't wait to transform the classroom!
Printing more printers....
Over the last couple of months, in addition to redesign work, product testing and building tools for using recycled filament we've built up our farm of printers in preparation to produce our 100 microscopes for schools.
Our botfarm will help us produce faster and more reliably so, if you’re in Nairobi and would like to see the botfarm in action, please do come and visit us in the University of Nairobi (UON) Maker Space.
If you'd like to get in touch about schools, products or all things Digital Blacksmiths, email us at: selam.zeru@techfortrade.org
