The project aims to improve the quality of life for 400 seniors in the four residences of the Bringas-Haghenbeck Foundation (FBH) by acquiring 10 microwave ovens to optimize the preparation of hot meals safely and efficiently. With a budget of $30,000 MXN, the project includes staff training, usage monitoring, maintenance, and community involvement, promoting dignity and well-being for a vulnerable population.
Currently, many older adults residing at the Teodoro Gildred Residence face challenges accessing hot, nutritious meals due to the lack of basic equipment like microwaves. This gap limits their autonomy, affects their nutritional and emotional well-being, and makes maintaining proper nutrition more difficult. These seniors, who already face physical, economic, and social challenges, need practical solutions to improve their daily quality of life.
This project aims to equip the Teodoro Gildred Residence with microwaves to ensure residents can easily access hot, nutritious meals at any time. Additionally, staff members will be trained in the proper use of microwaves to maximize their utility and safety. This will enable residents to maintain a balanced diet, promoting their physical and emotional well-being in a caring environment.
