The micro digital literacy skills training project for 50 schoolgirls in Gboko has brought about significant changes in the lives of these rural school girls who began learning at the age of 17. The project, which involved 50 schoolgirls from two secondary schools, has created numerous positive impacts in Gboko.
The participants have shared their success stories, highlighting the benefits they have gained from the training.
Elizabeth a SSS 1 student expressed her gratitude to be one among girls who benefited in this micro digital literacy project and said this is her first time to learn computer despite computer is one of subject in school but we only learn theorire. and now I know how to boot, operate and shutdonw computer proper.
Terwange, an SSS 1 student, shares her experience. Before joining the digital literacy program, I had no idea how to even turn on a computer. Now, I can use Microsoft Word to type letters, create documents, and even send emails to my friends! It's amazing how much I've learned.
They have expressed their gratitude for the donors who supported this micro project, and the project team are working hard to continue to impact the lives of more rural school girls in Gboko and help bridge the digital divide.
The digital literacy skills training provided to the schoolgirls has not only improved their academic performance but has also opened up new opportunities for them. They are now better equipped to access and utilize digital resources, which is essential in today's world. The project has empowered these girls, increasing their confidence and self-esteem, and providing them with the tools they need to succeed in a digital world.
