Solution

The Micro Digital Skills Training program will be developed and implemented by GECN (an organization with over 3 years of experience in training digital skills), 15 schools from Benue State. The programs will last 3 months, with 3 weeks of effective training, in which 150 young girls will learn theoretical and practical knowledge around STEM skills, especially in the digital sector. The program will be conducted in GECNs computer labs in which the girls will practice digital skills.

Long-Term Impact

By the end of the project, the expert will evaluate the short-term results of the program, by measuring: Number of girls' enrollment into STEM-groups in secondary and post-secondary schools, Number of girls who passed the practical skill-assessment/assignments, Number of girls who gained STEM related jobs and number of strategic partners obtained by the end of the program. In the long term, the expert will measure: Number of graduates & females excelling in Science & Engineering.
