Dear friends,
We are delighted to share with you some news concerning our most recent activities under the Mentoring programme. On our monthly meetings with our volunteers we continue to discuss our day-to-day challenges and new opportunities, that lie before us. In our everyday work we do our best to apply different approaches by which we provide assistance to the young people that we support.
For that reason, we started using some Coaching techniques as a tool, allowing us to support, provide advice and guidance and motivate our young people more effectively. As part of the plan, in October, we conducted a training in Coaching skills for our new volunteers, participating in the Mentoring programme. We taught them some quite useful tips and we showed them a different perspective to everyday problems. We shared thoughts, we laughed and we played games! Sounds good, doesn’t it? After the training, we received positive feedbacks from our volunteers. They were happy to inform us how useful the training was and that shortly after they started applying what they have learned in their practice. All of that made us feel great!
