On November 15th, Kidsave’s team went to deliver humanitarian aid to a village in the Mykolaiv region. Our team delivered food, clothes, medical supplies, diapers, and bedding to over 400 families. The local people are incredibly grateful for the support Kidsave provides during these hard times. Our Angels of Hope are continuing to provide food packages, winter vegetables, and drinking water to over 30,000 people in Eastern and Southern Ukraine. Additionally, our children support center in the Mykolaiv region will continue to provide trauma relief therapy sessions and weekly English lessons for children from internally displaced families.
Following Kidsave’s visit to the village to deliver aid, our team organized a trip to the Ukrainian Drama Theater for 50 children! These children were evacuated from the city and now attend social and psychological rehabilitation centers. The kids had a great time watching a play and receiving gifts on their trip.
On December 6th, Kidsave celebrated the official opening of the Superheroes School for Ukrainian kids with cancer by helping them continue their education while they are in the hospital. Kidsave’s support of the project was very much appreciated as we purchased an electronic panel for the educational system. The governor of the region, his deputies, the Minister of Education, and the Director of the regional education department were all in attendance at the opening event.
Currently, 30 children who are receiving care at the hospital will be involved in the schooling project. They received a demonstration lesson and guests presented them with gifts, which made the children very happy.
