Using a psycho-social approach(group based and individual sessions), this program guides children to regulate emotions, build positive self-image, foster self-exploration and psychological well-being, leading to positive behaviour, better social interactions, cultivating a healthy self-image and forging effective relationships with others within broader social contexts such as classrooms, workplaces and living in a community.
ACT's Resilient Minds Program addresses the growing prevalence of mental health challenges among young individuals who are facing unique stresses and pressures, which can impact their emotional well-being and overall development. These challenges stem from various sources like academic pressure, family dynamics, social relationships, or environmental factors. Providing children a safe space to express, seek help and thrive both academically and personally is the aim of the program.
Through effective coping strategies, problem solving skills and stress management techniques, the project will create a safe space and a supportive environment for the children. It will focus on building resilience in children, equipping them with the tools and skills they need to navigate challenges effectively and to thrive emotionally, academically, and socially, ultimately improving their overall well-being and quality of life.
The potential long-term impacts of a well-executed mental health program for children are significant and far-reaching. Improved mental health outcomes, reduced risk of mental health disorders, enhanced academic performances, healthy relationships at workplaces and a positive social impact are the key outcomes of this program.
