DoLadu Camp helps Ukrainian war veterans recover from trauma and rebuild civilian life. Many veterans struggle with PTSD, depression, and isolation after years of war. Through small-group therapeutic camps, veterans receive evidence-based mental health support, peer-to-peer connection, and guidance for social reintegration. By restoring emotional stability and confidence, the program helps veterans reconnect with their families, communities, and pathways to stable civilian life.
Ukraine faces a growing mental-health crisis among veterans. More than half experience symptoms of PTSD, depression, or anxiety, and many struggle to return to civilian life, work, and family roles. Outside major cities, access to high-quality, evidence-based psychosocial support is limited, fragmented, or short-term. Without timely support, these challenges lead to social isolation, unemployment, family breakdown, and long-term dependency rather than recovery and reintegration
The project delivers structured psychosocial recovery through DoLadu Camp and Community programs. Veterans participate in intensive, peer-to-peer recovery camps led by professional psychologists, followed by ongoing community-based support. The model combines emotional stabilization, trauma-informed group work, psychoeducation, and practical tools for social and economic reintegration. Outcomes are measured using validated tools (PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-5), ensuring real, evidence-based impact rather
In the long term, the project helps veterans regain emotional stability, rebuild social connections, and re-enter civilian life as active, resilient members of their communities. It strengthens local support ecosystems, reduces long-term reliance on humanitarian aid, and creates a scalable, replicable model for veteran mental-health recovery in Ukraine. By investing in people, the project contributes to stronger families, safer communities, and a more resilient post-war society
