Mental Health -India's need of the hour 14-12-2021

As you are all aware, this project was initiated to address mental health needs of population living in Guntur and surrounding districts in Andhra Pradesh state of India. It's main goal is to improve access to everyone regardless of his / her socioeconomic status.
The final stages of construction of the building is still pending. This project has been in pending status for several months now. Lack of funding is the key reason, unfortunately. In addition to this, the lockdown restrictons due to Covid, lack of availability of sand had created few gaps in the flow of construction at various different points in time.
Following are the pending tasks.
1. Doors and windows (10% work pending)
2. Elevation work
3. Electrical equipment and bulbs
4. Fire safety work
5. Painting work

Mental Health -India's need of the hour 16-08-2021

Dear sir / madam,
We are extremely concerned about current situation. Unfortunately the building work stalled due to lack for funds. Our FCRA account with Union Bank of India has been frozen with a balance of Rs 640000=00. When we made enquiries, we have been told that the funds we received from the GlobalGiving organisation have been frozen because apparently the GlobalGiving has been under a watchlist by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
We have not been informed in writing by the Union Bank nor we received any correspondence from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
Subsequently we have been asked to open a new FCRA account with State Bank of India, main branch, Delhi. We made an application to open a new account but we have not heard from the bank yet.

Respected donors,
Please find the following report with regards to the progress of construction work.
Completed works
- 100% of the wall work completed.
- 90% of Tiling work completed.
- Railing for staircase has been installed.
- Emergency staircase for Fire escape installed.
- Doors installed.
Pending works
- 10% tile work is pending.
- Windows need to be installed.
- Front elevation glass pending
- Fire safety system needs to be installed.
- Bathroom / toilet plumbing needs to be completed.
- Painting needs to be completed.
- Electric bulbs and fans to be installed.
Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on the construction work for this project. As we speak, a new strain appears to have swamped Guntur town along with many. Construction workers are not available easily. The progress in the work has been slow.
With the new appeal, which I made few months ago, we could only raise about $3500 so far.
We need your continued blessings. Please consider telling your friends and family about our project. It will help if you can recommend this to your family and friends who may have interest in improving the mental healthcare access ot public in Guntur and Prakasam districts.
