In North Kivu, adolescent girls and women living in fragile and displacement-affected communities continue to face serious challenges related to menstrual health. Limited access to accurate information, affordable menstrual hygiene products, clean water, safe sanitation facilities, and private spaces can make menstruation a difficult and sometimes distressing experience. Poverty, displacement, conflict, and persistent cultural taboos can also contribute to shame, stigma, missed school days, and increased vulnerability.
With a total project budget of $30,000, our project is currently in its preparation and resource-mobilization phase. To date, we have raised $0, and no project funds have yet been spent. We are identifying qualified trainers and potential learners and preparing the activities that will begin once the necessary resources are secured. The project will focus on menstrual health education, hygiene practices, access to appropriate information and support, and community awareness aimed at creating a safer and more respectful environment for girls and women.
Our goal is to turn this project into a practical and lasting investment in health, dignity, and education. We are deeply grateful to GlobalGiving for providing a platform that connects this initiative with donors around the world and gives us an opportunity to mobilize the resources needed to reach our $30,000 target. We warmly invite individuals, organizations, and partners to support this effort. Every contribution, whatever its size, can help us move from preparation to action and bring meaningful support to girls and women in vulnerable communities of North Kivu. We sincerely thank all our current and future donors for believing in this project and standing with the communities we serve.
