During the period under review, we reached 452 girls, raising awareness about menestrual hygiene, teaching the target beneficiairies on how to use menstrual cups and providing menstrual cups to 45 girls. We have also trained 60 teachers on menestrual hygiene management and engaged 230 parents during school events on how to support school girls to manage menstrual hygiene.

We held a commomeration of the Menstrual Hygiene Day at Entebbe Girls School located in Kigungu fishing community, Entebbe - Wakiso District, Uganda bringing together 4 other civil society partners to support the training. Several media houses joined the event support to raise awareness across the country which we hope to leverage to generate traction towards the intervention.  Below are links to some of the published stories of the event:

2. Girls in Entebbe fishing communities get training on menstrual hygiene (nilepost.co.ug)

3. More than 60% of women contract infections during their menstrual periods -Family Medical Point - Eagle Online

We hope to purchase more menstrual cups once we receive funding - currently we have realised less than 10% of the targeted USD. 10,000.

We are ataching herein several photos of students celebrating receiving menstrual cups.
