Our last report came shortly before the Giving Tuesday effort. We are grateful to all who gave last year to help us provide a safe, nurturing home for children waiting for their forever families.
Since then, we had a Christmas Day adoption. The child met the new parents on Christmas Eve and became their best ever Christmas gift the next day. Of course, it's always difficult for Connie's Home staff and volunteers but it's also beautiful to watch the birth of a new family. (see photos)
We had 5 adoptions last year. Two of those adopted came into our home in April 2024 and we're hoping this is a new trend, getting the children processed and into their new families much faster. Earlier this month we brought 4 new children into our home - ages 2 months, 6 months and 1 year 4 month old twins.(see photo) Our night shift is not sleeping as well as they did before, for some reason. :-)
