Project Report | May 1, 2012
Updates from Karunashraya

By Hema Shyam | Project Leader

Dear Friends of Karunashraya,

Thanks for your continued support to this project. During the quarter ended 31 March 2012 your donations allowed us to meet expenses towards medicines for our patients for the quarter.

We are also very delighted to inform you that earlier this month Karunashraya was awarded The Namma Bengaluru Award 2011 under Group/Organization category. The Namma Bengaluru Awards are an initiative of the Namma Bengaluru Foundation which was instituted to recognize and reward people and organizations for their extraordinary contributions to the city of Bengaluru.

We are also gearing up for the upcoming TCS World 10K Bangalore. This is a prestigious marathon which brings together people who enjoy running for a cause. Many of our volunteers will be there to participate and we look forward to seeing you there. For those who cannot participate and would like to be a part of it here is an opportunity. This event gives us the opportunity to re-energize our fund raising effort towards our "Medicines for terminally ill patients at Karunashraya" project and we invite all our volunteers, supporters, well wishers, donors and friends to reach out to your friends, family, acquaintances who would like to become part of this event and donate for this cause.

Contributions through this project will provide for medicines to our patients and allow us to reach out to larger number of needy patients. You can help in any of the following ways:

a) Please make your contributions towards this project;

b) Please talk about our story and the “Medicines to terminally ill cancer patients” project on Global Giving with your friends;

c) Please help us reach out to more patients who we can serve at Karunashraya; Thanks again for being a part of this initiative and we look forward to your continued support.

Best Wishes,
