Dear Friends of Karunashraya,
Our sincere thanks for holding our hand and helping us along. Our collections till now is USD7900/- We have a long way to go towards our target of USD20,000/- but we are sure that together we will be able to make it to the finish line.
In the quarter ending June 30th, 2012, the number of admissions were 236 apart from the patients taken care of by the Home Care Services.
On the 1st of May we celebrated Memorial Day.Our first patient was admitted on May 1st 1999. On Memorial Day, we organize a small function to which we invite relatives of past patients. The patients presently at our facility are brought in wheelchairs to the reception area. Two patients, two patient relatives or attenders and two relatives of earlier patients are requested to speak for a couple of minutes each. This is always a very moving experience. After this some entertainment is organized which the patients also enjoy. High tea was served on the occasion. The patients, their care takers and everyone present has a relaxed evening.
