Patient story
Namanda is a 24 year old mother of 5. She was one of the
beneficiaries who attended BKB MHC early this month with her children.
Her story struck us in a touching way. Trouble started when she went for
an antenatal clinic session where the scan revealed that she was having
triplets. She already had two boys aged 7 and 4 years. When she told her
husband about it he was not impressed and on giving birth to three
children, two girls and one boy who are now aged 1 year and 2 months,
the husband fled. “/He ran away from responsibility. I can no longer
manage. The burden is too much for me…. Treating the kids and feeding
them….paying for rent is all too much for me “she/ said while wiping
away tears from her face.
BKB’S support;
The 3 young malnourished children who had flu and cough were treated for
the ailments.
The mother was advised on how to prepare a balanced diet for the
children and they were all given de-wormers.
