In response to the escalating crisis in eastern DRC, including renewed M23 activity, we have maintained close engagement with trusted local partners to ensure timely information flow and reinforce solidarity during this critical period.
Community-based efforts in North and South Kivu continue to sustain critical services for survivors of sexual and other forms of gender based violence, adapting where necessary to shifting secuirty and displacement dynamics.
Local partners have also supported initiatives to set up humanitarian corridors, conduct advocacy for the non-recruitment and use of children in armed groups, and conduct rapid assessments with displaced or returned people and others.
Thank you for supporting our local partners in continuing their life-saving, critical efforts on the ground. Your contributions bring hope, resilience, and practical help to survivors facing these extraordinary challenges.
