Omashram Trust - Old Age Care, is a registered charitable trust founded in the year 2001 with the objective of providing care and succor to the helpless elderly irrespective of caste and creed. The trust is now in the 14th Year of its existence with over 300+ beneficiaries. Omashram provides residential care with full boarding & lodging facility also medical care, nursing care to the old, belonging mostly to poor & middle class individuals (above 65 years of age) of all denominations.
We currently have about 75 +beneficiaries and a staff facility of 25 numbers-so that makes it more than 100 mouths to feed and care for. We are housed in rented premises for the past 15 yrsi.e since the time of inception in Sept-2001. The premises have been shifted more than 5 times over the last few years. We have very recently shifted one of our premises to abide the place in order to accommodate more and more elderly render our services to them.
For your kind information, our monthly recurring expenses have now gone up to about Rupees 10 lacs. We are unable to meet the same due to drop in financial assistance. We have no Govt AID and mostly depend on donations from individuals. Since we have a huge number of elders waiting for our services, we are now with a thought of expansion-taking up another rented premises and accomodate the neglected elders, continuous support could also be rendered from your end.
