Surgery Modernization
Service Renovation
Project 2025/2026
Since we have already raised all the funds for the Maternity Ward, we now aim to modernize the operating rooms.
The surgical ward and operating rooms are an essential service at Mater Dei, serving as a space where procedures are performed that can save lives or significantly improve patients' quality of life.
The efficiency and effectiveness of surgical procedures have a direct impact on patient recovery times, length of hospital stays, and associated healthcare costs.
In the last 10 years, we at the Sanatorium have increased the annual number of surgeries by almost 100%, going from 7,900 in 2014 to 14,166 in 2024.
We must continue to innovate and incorporate state-of-the-art equipment and technology for the eight operating rooms, allowing us to consolidate Mater Dei as a leading surgical center for the entire country.
Technology and robotics for surgeries, applied Artificial Intelligence, patient safety, infection control, and greater comfort for physicians and professionals.
