Medical equipment for the Mater Dei Sanatorium

We are very happy to have the support of the hundreds of families who, year after year, collaborate with the development of the SMD, allowing us to renew our equipment and face building improvements in our Institution. The community of the Sisters of Mary of Schönstatt and the Sanatorium Management would like to express our immense gratitude for your generosity.

2022 has been a year of many challenges and thanks to the collaboration of our grateful patients and the good management of the Sanatorium, we can say that Mater Dei is equipped with high standards of technology.

For 2023, we have set ourselves great and new objectives, with a view to consolidating our leadership and providing an excellent medical service. In this sense, we will initiate a series of profound reforms in our structure. This will be an arduous task and will require a lot of effort and several years of sustained work. Undoubtedly, this is the main campaign that we have faced in more than a decade, and that will allow us to expand our services and adapt them to the latest health trends throughout the world.

In addition, we will continue working to continue renewing our medical equipment to always be up to date.

Thank you very much for supporting our mission at the service of life and human dignity. Surely, there is a lot that we can continue to build together.

Durante 2021 y 2022 nuestros proyectos de crecimiento se vieron afectados y tuvimos que adaptarnos a la nueva realidad de la pandemia. Nos enfocamos en el trabajo en equipo y con pasión hacemos del Sanatorio un lugar seguro y confiable para todos nuestros pacientes.

En 2022 comenzamos a incorporar nuevos equipos, introducir mejoras sustantivas en nuestro servicio y retomar la senda de la renovación tecnológica.

Esto lo pudimos lograr gracias al apoyo de personas, familias y empresas que siempre acompañan, confían y apuestan a que el Sanatorio siga creciendo.

De enero a la fecha hemos adquirido:

• Angiógrafo

• Bomba de circulación extracorpórea

• Broncofibroscopio

• 4 transductores

• 4 monitores multiparamétricos

• Laringoscopio

• Electrocauterio

• Electrocardiógrafo

• Desfibrilador

• 2 Bilirrubinómetros

• 80 sillas de ducha plegables Ferrum

• Entre otros equipos

Además, también se llevó a cabo la renovación total del Servicio de Diagnóstico por la Imagen e Intervención con la adquisición de:

• 2 equipos de tomografía computarizada

• 1 equipo de resonancia magnética

• Equipo portátil de radiología digital

• Digitalización de imágenes RX

During 2020, our growth projects were affected and we had to adapt to the new reality. Working as a team and with passion, we make the Sanatorium a safe and state-of-the-art place in the context of the pandemic.

As of mid-2021, we were able to start working on consolidating our quality and containment care proposal, despite the strong crisis affecting the health system in our country. We know that, in critical moments, it is essential to have an excellent medical service and we are committed to improving, day by day, the care and support for our patients and their families.

During 2022, we are working to incorporate new technology and introduce substantial improvements to our service. Thanks to the commitment of generous people, companies and institutions, we will be able to carry out new growth projects, modernize infrastructure and medical equipment.

With the proceeds in this half of the year we have been able to acquire:

• Bronchofibroscope

• 4 Transducers

• 4 multi-parameter monitors

• Laryngoscope

• Electrocautery

• Electrocardiograph

• Defibrillator

• 2 Bilirubinometer

El 2021 estuvo nuevamente determinado por la pandemia, con una segunda ola que mantuvo al SMD totalmente ocupado por el COVID-19 de abril a junio.

La planificación y gestión del Sanatorio se llevó a cabo en una situación de permanente adaptación sin poder, salvo algunos periodos menores, retomar nuestro modelo habitual de servicio. El contexto proporcionó una complejidad adicional, con la ampliación de la brecha entre los precios y el aumento de los gastos generales.

EL MATER DEI DIO UNA RESPUESTA

A pesar de la compleja situación, nuestros indicadores de calidad mejoraron notablemente, tanto en satisfacción general como en indicadores específicos. Un ejemplo de ello es que la tasa de mortalidad de los pacientes de COVID internados en cuidados intensivos con respirador artificial estuvo al mismo nivel que la de los mejores centros de salud de EE.UU. y fue muy inferior al promedio de Argentina.

A su vez, tuvimos la alegría de tener más de 2.800 nacimientos, lo que nos ha llenado de satisfacción.

Recaudación total: US$52.035. El dinero fue invertido en:

• 61% Equipo médico
• 5% Suministros médicos
• 23% Sistemas de Información
• 11% Obras

PRÓXIMOS PROYECTOS 2022

Nos presenta un gran desafío: garantizar la calidad de nuestros servicios y consolidarnos como un Sanatorio de referencia para toda la Argentina. Nuestros proyectos de crecimiento para los próximos años incluyen el desarrollo de un área de Cirugía Ambulatoria, la ampliación de la Guardia y la construcción de una nueva torre de Servicios Ambulatorios. Pero para crecer debemos ser prudentes y seguir priorizando la sustentabilidad del Sanatorio. Durante 2022 continuaremos modernizando nuestra infraestructura e incorporando equipos de última generación:

• Electrocardiografía
• Monitores multiparámetro
• laringoscopios
• Ultrasonido
• ecocardiógrafo
• desfibrilador
• Entre otros.

Más que nunca necesitamos el compromiso de pacientes y familiares dispuestos a apoyar nuestro trabajo. El mismo compromiso que tenemos los que trabajamos día a día para hacer del Mater Dei el Sanatorio por excelencia de la Argentina.
