During this reporting period, INSAN continued providing integrated medical, mental health, and social support services to vulnerable Lebanese and migrant communities across Lebanon. A total of 201 beneficiaries received comprehensive support through our outreach activities, addressing both immediate health needs and longer-term wellbeing.
Patient counselling remained the cornerstone of the intervention. Beneficiaries received individualized guidance on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle practices, including pain management, proper nutrition, hypertension prevention through reduced sodium and caffeine intake, diabetes awareness, medication adherence, and general health promotion. The medical team also conducted routine blood pressure and blood glucose screenings and provided essential medications, whenever available, for acute conditions such as headaches, musculoskeletal pain, respiratory infections, and other common illnesses. Whenever possible, patients living with chronic diseases also received essential medications and medical follow-up to help manage their conditions.
To ensure a holistic approach to care, INSAN's psychologist accompanied the medical team throughout the outreach activities, providing psychological first aid, individual counselling sessions, and referrals for beneficiaries requiring additional mental health and psychosocial support. This integrated approach has helped address both the physical and emotional challenges faced by individuals living through prolonged socioeconomic hardship.
Beneficiaries requiring specialized medical care or diagnostic examinations beyond INSAN's capacity were referred to trusted external health providers. INSAN's social worker closely followed up on these referrals, facilitating access to services and helping beneficiaries overcome financial and administrative barriers whenever possible.
We sincerely thank all our supporters for their generous contributions. Your continued support enables INSAN to provide lifesaving healthcare, mental health services, and social support to the most vulnerable families in Lebanon, ensuring that they receive the care and dignity they deserve.
