Bevar Ukraine is providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine since 2014 and has a well established process, excellent knowledge of the most urgent needs and efficient partners in Ukraine. Until now, Bevar Ukraine has sent over 300 trucks from Denmark to Ukraine. Money spent for transportation to Ukraine (1700 tons, USD 6 million) are used very efficiently as for the funds used for transportation provides around than 10 times higher value as content of trucks is donated by donors.
200 medical institutions are destroyed in Ukraine due to attacks on infrastructure. There are around 5 million internally displaced Ukrainians putting additional pressure on the health system. The deteriorating economical situation and war since 2014 has weakened the quality of medical care. Moreover, the number of injured is high due to the full scale war and therefore there is a need for more medical equipment. Finally, methods of medical treatment are obsolete and need to be improved.
Transportation of medical equipment to Ukrainian medical institutions will allow to fulfill the increased demand. Moreover, quality equipment from Denmark will allow to transform methods of medical treatment to world standards and therefore improve quality of the medical treatment.
Project will provide medical beds and other equipment for people in Ukraine. This will allow to achieve quality treatment which will improve quality of life, reduce expenses for medical treatment and improve medical care standards.
