Tech On Wheels For Night School Students In India

    Tech on Wheels Program

During the months from July to Oct 2020, the Tech on Wheels team conducted Computer training courses in Masoom supported Night Schools as well as municipal day schools. The aim of this programme is to provide opportunity to students from underprivileged background to know and learn the use of computer. Without this facility most of these students will be deprived of opportunity to learn computer and know about information Technology and related fields.

Each and every student gets to operate computer in the “Tech on Wheels” bus. They are exposed to the fascinating world of internet. It is observed that by the end of the programme, the students have no more fear about technology and they are comfortable in operating computer. The programme also develops confidence among students.

(During Lockdown (July – Oct 20)

• Online training started for the 10th grade students.
• Capacity building to Masoom staff & Teachers in online platform –
• Tech on Wheels staff will assist to PM/PH to conduct online classes.
• Ezeetest App downloading and Training
• Sign up and sign in to zoom app/web.
• Preparing poll forms and enable while online training.
• Making the curriculum of the Tech on Wheels courses. (Basic Computers, Web Designing, Graphic Designing, Artificial Intelligence and Hardware)
• Booklet to be prepare for all the curriculum to enable access to our day and night school students.
• Online training will be started for the Day school & Night schools in IT courses.

Post Covid-19 (Nov – Mar 21)

• 5 Day Schools will be covered during the Jun to Aug with 150 students.
• 5 Night Schools will be covered during the Jun to Aug with 90 students.
• Focus to continue the sessions through online only.
• Start the actual classes through our tech on wheels bus with taking care of all the precaution in the school.
• After covid-19 or lockdown period will conduct the session only 14 students to maintain the social distancing.
• After our board meeting we decided to provide the advance courses to our night school students through the career cell those who have completed the basic course from TOW.
• Bus can be potentially used to provide internet connectivity to those students who don’t have smartphones & internet connectivity.
