For more than 35 years, Martha’s Table has been an important community resource for our most vulnerable neighbors. Whether someone needs a hot meal from our mobile food truck McKenna’s Wagon, a safe place for their toddler to learn while they are at work, or a low-cost suit for a job interview, they know they can count on Martha’s Table. We are thrilled to have your partnership for this important work.
Because of supporters like you, during the first half of 2017 we have been able to continue our reach city-wide. Our 35 pop-up grocery markets that bring fresh produce and healthy pantry staples to elementary schools and community centers, allowing families to shop for free in a joyful environment ran successfully throughout the second half of the school year and our summer markets have began at 5 community centers in Ward 7 and 8. We also broke ground on our new headquarters east of the Anacostia River to ensure access to food and education programs for neighbors in need. You make all of this possible, and with your continued support we will be able to accomplish even more in the second half of 2017.
