August 2026 Update:

As the 2025–26 academic year comes to a close, we're proud to reflect on the third term which was filled with learning, leadership and community spirit. This last term, 100 pupils (50 girls and 50 boys) continued their learning in a safe, nurturing environment at Maronka where they were supported to grow in confidence, develop new skills and prepare for future success.

National Primary School Exams

A major highlight of the term at Maronka was completion of the National Primary School Examination (NPSE). Building on last year's strong results, staff worked closely with pupils to provide targeted academic support and ensure they were well prepared for the exams. Teachers also continued to strengthen classroom practice through lesson observations, professional development and the creation of engaging, activity-based learning materials, while students demonstrated fantastic creativity by producing their own school newspaper, writing news articles and sharing stories from school life.

A school at the heart of its community

Beyond the classroom, Maronka continues to play an important role in the wider community. Staff and students organised community clean-up activities and environmental outreach with communities. The school also hosted a successful Women's Weekend, bringing together female staff to strengthen their skills, share experiences and celebrate one another.

Looking ahead, the school is planning new initiatives to strengthen community engagement, including a 'He for She Day', where fathers and male relatives will be invited into school to celebrate and champion girls' education.

Thank you for helping make all of this possible.
