We learn more about our impact on our planet we know time is running out fast and it is not the responsibility of future generations to solve the issues we face as it is critical and we are the only people that have the power to change it NOW. Our Ocean is home to half of all life on Earth today, it cover over 70% of this planet. Fiji is an Island yet the youths of the community live unaware of the impact their rubbish and actions is having on the ocean and this is due to the lack of education
It's estimated that there are 3.5 trillion fish living in our oceans and many scientists predict that by the year 2050, there may be more plastic in the ocean than fish. The only people that can stop this and ensure we leave a planet safe and beautiful for future generations is you and I. We need to provide the resources to train, teach and educate youths that although live next the ocean are unaware of their impact on this issue.
Our project works to promote marine conservation in communities that live next to the Ocean but are unaware due to lack of education in the area of conservation. Providing fun and engaging events, lesson and materials for young people to learn and become ambassadors to tackle the issue within Fiji and the community.
To improve the education of the children on the under water world, encouraging them to care about the environment and to become community leaders in it's protection.
