By using radio, social media, and mobile technology, we provide smallholder farmers with accessible, practical solutions to improve soil health, conserve water, and boost food security.
In Central America's Dry Corridor, droughts and extreme weather are devastating farms. 70% of farmland is degraded, and 60% of households face food insecurity. "With Our Feet on the Soil," in partnership with Catholic Relief Services, equips farmers with Water-Smart Agriculture to build resilience. In Central America, the climate crisis is pushing farmers to the brink.
Through radio programs, social media engagement, and interactive voice response (IVR) systems, farmers receive real-time, expert-backed agricultural techniques to improve soil health, manage water efficiently, and increase crop yields. Radio dramas & call-in shows featuring local farmers and experts. WhatsApp & IVR platforms providing instant farming guidance. Community-driven learning, led by extension workers and trained leaders.
4.2 million farmers have been reached through the campaign. 85% of listeners have adopted at least one sustainable farming practice. 95% of farmers report learning new techniques that improve their crops.
