Mangrove is the only miracle that absorb more than 6 times carbon rather than terrestrial forest. So, to protect the environment and increase the sustainability of community people livelihood improvement, mangrove conservation and restoration is the burning issues in these era. Mangrove can contribute in climate change and biodiversity conservation. If we restored mangrove, it can increase the aquaculture diversity in the forest area and also provide some raw material for improving livelihood. Not only that it protects our coast from the tide, reduce erosion and protect from cyclone. Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is working to bring back the mangrove in coastal community which one destroy by different causes.
BEDS and community people are working together for the mangrove conservation and restoration by their both participation and contribution. We are always grateful that our all of well wisher are supporting us for these activities.
