Challenge

People throughout Kenya face considerable challenges receiving health care. Treatment is costly and inaccessible for so many. Hospitals are understaffed, short of supplies and unaffordable. And the stigma associated with disease make it difficult, if not impossible, for them to access necessary services. AMPATH is responding by meeting the comprehensive health care needs of more than 4 million Kenyans

Solution

This fund allows Joe to respond immediately and effectively to those most in need. So many times, Joe and Sarah Ellen see patients requiring support in ways that don't fit nicely into grant-funded projects or challenging financial bureaucracies. The Joe Mamlin Humanitarian Fund allows flexible funding to help save lives and create brighter futures.

Long-Term Impact

Joe and Sarah Ellen Mamlin are family to so many Kenyans. They see the holistic needs of every patient and serve them with love and compassion. Those assisted will be able to thrive and continue to support others in their community.
