Celebrating Success with the Moringa Tree Project

By Shana Greene | Executive Director, Village Volunteers

Dear Donor,

We are happy to report that our Moringa Tree Project is doing well and the trees that are planted are thriving. In the beginning, we had challenges with downpours washing the seedlings away, animals munching on them, and drought taking its toll on the tender seedlings.

Now that we are beyond that fragile stage, we are encouraged and excited for everyone involved. Our trainer Dickson Omandi loves children and inspires them with his enthusiasm for all aspects of sustainable farming methods. He teaches them about the moringa tree uses, encourages them all to take the trees home for their families and distributes more moringa seeds to plant.

We apprecaite your ongoing support and following our project. Those of you who are contributing each month through a subscription, you are helping immensely as the children are able to continue to plant trees and your generosity supports their school tuition through the moringa scholarship fund.

Thank you!

Shana
