In MAHAN hospital in Jul to Sept of 2017 total 1436 patients were treted in hosptial. Out of those, 179 were indoor & 73 serious patients saved. That means close to 1 patient per day was saved. Considering the infrastructure available, overall situation in Melghat, this is a achievement.
There are many sucess stories as mentioned in attached report. Two are briefed here.
Success study # 1
Ritik, a 4.5 years male child admitted to MAHAN hospital on 25.9.2017 in very critical condition with Respiratory distress with Pneumonia &Hyper Reactive Airway Disease. He was treated by our Pediatrician & hospital team with oxygen and antibiotics, etc. He was relieved next day and was discharged.
Success study # 2
Pari a 8 month old girls R/o Khidki (Kasmar) was admitted in our hospital on 12.8.2017. Her weight was 3.250 kg. She was Severely Under Weight & Severely Acute Malnourished (SUW & SAM.) and very critical. She was stabilized, put on anti-TB treatment and referred to Dist. Hospital, Amaravati on 16.8.2017. She has been discharged from hospital and now her weight is 4.875 kg and she is out of SAM & cheerful. She could be saved only due to stabilization treatment at our Hospital, timely referral & also the efforts of Amaravati Dist. Hospital team. She has been put on MAHAN Locally Prepared Therapeutic Food (LTF) .
