Gearing up for 2020 Scholarships!

By Andrew McDonald | Operations Manager

In the past year, MALA has awarded over $8,000 is scholarships to emerging young leaders across the country. As we gear up to begin accepting applications for the 2019-2020 cycle, MALA is working hard to raise funds to offer scholarship opportunities to even more young people. We believe that education is the most powerful resource that we can offer to developing leaders and thinkers; MALA is committed to optimizing philanthropy and ensuring access to education for the next generation of Muslim leaders.

On November 7th, MALA will host our 4th Annual Gala to raise funds for the MALA Scholarship Program. In years past this program has been sustained by the kindness and generosity of our donors, and we hope that we will be able to rely on that same generosity and kindness as we continue to expand the Scholarship Program and create new avenues for learning, innovation, and self-expression in our own communities. Together, with your support, MALA seeks to contribute to an American society in which our differences are cherished, our unique identities are celebrated, and our future leaders are nurtured and well-prepared to tackle the difficult task of making the world a better place.
